
The Carioca Programmers are an initiative of the City of Rio, through Municipal Secretariat for Urban and Economic Development (SMDUE), to the training of qualified workforce in programming, focusing on young people from Rio de Janeiro in vulnerable situations. With scholarships, creates ways to quickly enter the technology market.
The technology sector currently has a high demand for qualified workers. According to BRASSCOM, 24 vacancies per year are not filled due to a lack of qualified professionals, taking into account the period 2019-2024. THE COURSE
The Carioca Programmers are a Intensive course in programming, in format bootcamp, lasting approximately 6 months. In it, students learn everything from the basics to developing small programs. The course of the first call was in person, in partnership with Senac, Generation Brazil ou Resilia.
Target Audience
? Priority, graduates of public education, cinereous vultures, women, trans people e refugees, based on the IDS.
? Requirements: be a resident of the city of Rio and have completed high school.
Benefits
? Financial assistance (scholarship) of 500 BRL per month to enable the student to remain on the course.
? One computer for each student graduated, after completing the course.

The National Confederation of General Insurance, Private Pension and Life Insurance, Supplementary Health and Capitalization Companies (CNSeg) has entered into a partnership with the City of Rio for a full-time course for students trained at Programadores Cariocas, also offering experiences in the insurance market and employment opportunities.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) has also entered into a partnership with the City of Rio to train students who graduated from Programadores Cariocas, offering financial education and insertion in the job market, with experience in the capital markets.
